Chas Inzinna, the President of SalonTechnologies Inc., is the creative force behind the company's innovative hair color, client and appointment database software. He is the creator of SalonTechnologies' patented Hair Color Formula Encyclopedia that contains over 60,000 different hair color formulations. Inzinna's passion for advanced education is the inspiration for SalonTechnologies groundbreaking software that is ideal for salon owners, independent booth renters, new hairstylists, creative hair colorists and cosmetology students alike.
Chas Inzinna comes from a family of talented hair color artists, salon owners and industry manufacturers, while he is also the owner of the SOHO Salon and Spa in New York. The SOHO Salon uses a hybrid model, renting styling stations to licensed hairstylists as well as having multiple hair designers working there on a more traditional commission basis. This respected and trendsetting salon also uses all of the major professional hair color lines and has had SalonTechnologies' new PSA ~ Personal Salon Assistant successfully in operation for the last year.
As the salon owner of The SOHO Salon for over 20 years, Chas Inzinna is particularly in tune with the needs of creative hairstylists, hair colorists and salon owners. Through his experience and extensive market research, he has guided SalonTechnologies in developing unique new software that is flexible to their clients' needs, whether the client is an individual hairstylist or a large salon.

Over the years, Chas Inzinna has proven a true dedication for ongoing education for himself, his hairstylists and for everyone he works with. He applies his educational achievements to his almost 30 years of international hair color experience. His well-rounded educational background began in computer science, chemical engineering and extended to business administration. Inzinna has spent many years studying formulation, products and concepts of many hair color companies.
His passion for education was what drove him to create the Hair Color Formula Encyclopedia. “I've seen a countless number of talented and artistic hairstylists in my salon that didn't have any confidence in coloring hair. I decided that I could develop an innovative new system to give them this great skill and help their careers thrive," recalls Inzinna, “After this system was developed and tested, it didn't make any sense to keep it in only one salon, so we started SalonTechnologies to share this information on a larger scale to empower hairstylists all over the world."
During development, as excitement over SalonTechnologies' products was building, Chas Inzinna helped keep the focus on making a user friendly platform. The user friendly interface was designed with the knowledge that only 30% to 40% of salons were computerized and appeals to an industry that is just coming into the digital age. It was important to create a design that would be easily integrated into salons that didn't yet have this technology, while still making it an improvement to salons that are operating on fully digitized management software.
Along with that, Inzinna stresses the importance of having an aesthetically pleasing design. “We are an aesthetic industry. It doesn't make any sense to offer a product that doesn't look good," he notes, “During our extensive market research we found that people were initially attracted to our easy to use systems and the product design. They thought it looked good. They thought it was fun. It really was a product that they would use to instantly help dramatically improve their salon business. As soon as we saw their overwhelming positive reactions, we knew we had a huge hit!"
The SalonTechnologies family of products consists of PSA ~ Personal Salon Assistant, SalonManager and SalonManager-Premier. The PSA is designed expressly for booth renters, new hairstylists, creative haircolorists and small salons, even though it can be used successfully by any salon professional.
